Having a difficult time balancing life and a Chiropractic practice. Boyce Callahan does all that and just released his third album, Movin On.
Dr. Callahan is a chiropractor by day in Anniston Alabama and solo artist, producer, writer and sound engineer by night. Following in his family’s footsteps Boyce has practiced with his father since graduating from Life University in 2007. He put a hold on his music career in 2003 after the birth of his son to begin his Chiropractic education. He worked his way through his Doctorate in Chiropractic performing on weekends at various sites in and around Atlanta.
Now he has decided to pick back up on the other family tradition, music. His grandfather was an outlaw country/bluegrass picker and his mom a high school music teacher and church choir director. Boyce started writing and performing his own original songs in college, then signed with a Nashville based label. He describes his sound as blues, rock, soul, gospel, bluegrass, americana and funk.
Lately, in his spare time, he trained online in sound engineering through Berklee School of Music music. On his website he states“It’s always been a dream of mine to record and produce my music. The new album is going to be my best so far, but I never could have imagined how much work went into a project like this if I hadn’t gone through the process myself.”
Movin On, his third album, is set to digitally release on January 27th. The album will be for sale in Itunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, CDBaby, Napster, Facebook & directly from BoyceCallahan.com Individual tracks or then entire album will be available for purchase. He will begin touring with his new band Jackson Station later this year.
