Bowblade Created by Chiropractor Dr. Ron Green

What happens when you combine a tech savvy, archery loving chiropractor with the desire to get more people exercising? BowBlade

Bowblade is the latest tech in the fast paced ever-changing gaming world. This innovative device is compatible with over 35 smartphone apps and some Nintendo Wii games. The days of sitting on the floor in front of a tv playing Mario Brother is lost to the past. Today’s gaming revolution includes much more interaction than exercising your pollicus muscles. Whole body exercise and even cadio is the standard in new gaming consoles.

Dr. Ron Green DC developed Bowblade as a portable exercise device with design and technology borrowed from the modern take-down archery bow. Dr. Green designed Bowblade as a stand-alone exercise tool or it can be paired with a smartphone and gaming console.

Attach an iPod Touch, iPhone or Android smartphone and players can tap into over 35 existing first-person shooter games including archery, space shooter, hunting, sniper and laser tag. Connect with an Nintendo Wii and the BowBlade can be used like a traditional bow or it can be compressed or expanded in other ways that engage a bunch of different muscles and further expands gameplay. Its innovative trigger system represents a new way of utilizing the Wii remote and the nun-chuck. Bowblade is a natural fit with the archery game on the Sports Resorts program.

Pulling an archery bow with proper technique can be a beneficial postural exercise, just make sure to shoot from both sides. The Bowblade targets upper thoracic and posterior shoulder muscles when gaming, great exercises to combat computer desk syndrome. When the gaming mounts are removed the Bowblade becomes an exercise device capable of delivering a full-body work out in ten minutes.  It also includes three exercise programs with progressive levels of difficulty the can be utilized in a Chiropractor’s office or for at home exercise for patients.

Interested in adding BowBlades to your Chiropractic Practice or maybe for your own personal use? They come in 3 sizes and are available for pre-order with a delivery date of May.

Ron Green DC is a 1990 graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Ron Green practiced for over 20 years. During that time Dr. Green provided Chiropractic care at numerous sporting events, including the 1999 Pan Am Games. In 2008 he returned to his hometown of Toronto to explore the fitness industry.
